For parents and doctors facing PANS, PANDAS, autoimmune encephalitis & other complex immune-mediated neuroinflammatory conditions

Solve it together. All three of you.

A doctor, a parent, and a child each hold a piece of the story no chart alone tells. Careful AI brings it into one picture, so the team spends less time reconstructing and more time treating.

Alpha. Lumina is in active development and testing with a small group of practices and families. It is not yet generally available.

For the doctor

Get back to the medicine you trained for.

The clinic day goes to records that arrive as a hundred scanned pages in no order, and histories rebuilt from scratch at every visit. The reasoning is the work you are good at, and it gets the least time.

Lumina puts the case in front of you already assembled. The parent’s account of the last six years sits beside the labs. What you approve is what goes out, and you can see the source behind anything the system shows you.

For parents

Get your child, and your life, back.

Most families arrive after years of being told it was anxiety, or behaviour, or a phase. You have binders, a phone full of photographs, and a memory carrying more clinical detail than most charts. You have explained the whole thing from the beginning to eleven different people.

Lumina is where you stop starting over, and stop wondering what is happening.

  • Where things stand.

See the current state of your child's case, without waiting for a callback to find out.

  • What to do next.

The care team's asks come to you as a short list, so you always know the next thing that is yours.

  • One conversation, kept.

Message the doctor and keep every detail and insight you have shared in one thread you both work from. Nothing has to be explained twice.

You are not a data-entry problem to be solved. You are the person who has been paying attention the longest.

For kids

A place that’s theirs, too.

A visit about their own body is usually the last thing a kid wants to talk about, so most of what they actually feel never makes it into the chart. Lumina is built to meet them on their own terms: quick, playful check-ins that feel like theirs, not another appointment.

A symptom, a mood, something that changed since last week, captured close to when it happened instead of reconstructed months later under pressure in a fifteen-minute visit. It reaches the parent and the doctor, reviewed by a parent before anything leaves the space, and it can be exactly the detail that shapes what happens next.

Working today in Alpha

In the hands of our first practices and families.

Bring years of records in at once

Upload the whole stack of labs, notes, and reports. They come back read and organized, usually within minutes, with a plain-language summary of what arrived and the status of every document.

One thread instead of five channels

Family and care team write in one place on the case. Doctors keep private notes separate from what the family sees.

The right people, invited properly

Bring in a co-parent, a caregiver, or a colleague with a named role, on both the parent side and the practice side.

Families control access, and can see it

See exactly who has access to your child's information right now. Revoke it at any time. Review the full history of who had it before.

A real correction workflow

Ask formally for a correction to your child's record and follow the decision. The doctor recommends. The practice's privacy officer decides. It is a tracked process, not an email that goes unanswered.

Every look is on the record

Access to patient information is written to a log the practice's privacy officer can review and export. Entries are added, never edited or removed.

Prior-authorization cases in one place

Open a case for a patient and see all of them in one list, organized so the ones needing attention are the ones you see first.

Practice setup and stronger sign-in

Create the practice account, turn on two-factor sign-in for privileged accounts, and save the ordering templates and labs you work with so nobody retypes them.

In development and testing

What we are building next.

These are being built and tested now. They are labelled so you can tell at a glance what is in your hands today and what is still coming.

In development

Correlation intelligence

A child’s illness does not arrive as a list. It arrives as a flare in March, a lab drawn in June, a medication started the following winter, spread across hundreds of pages and several health systems.

Lumina will look across the whole timeline of one child and is designed to surface the patterns that are actually in it, each one brought back with its source attached so a doctor can check it in seconds. It is a second reader, not a second opinion: it proposes, and a doctor judges. Nothing it shows is invented.

In development

Ask the record

A doctor re-reads months of notes before a visit. A parent re-tells the same history at every appointment. Both are searching the same record for the same answer, from memory, separately.

Careful AI is being built to answer directly — ask, in your own words, and get back an answer with the document it came from. Medical records and labs first, so a question that used to take a search now takes seconds.

In development

Guided history capture

The doctor asks the specific questions the case turns on. The parent answers in their own words, with their records alongside. Years of hard-won observation become dated, structured history instead of a story retold at every visit.

In development

Symptom tracking over time

Log episodes and severity as they happen, so a flare can be seen on a timeline rather than remembered under pressure in a fifteen-minute appointment.

In development

A per-condition workup view

What this condition's workup calls for, what already has results on file, and what is still outstanding. Reviewed by a doctor before it is used.

In development

Follow a request through to a decision

Move a request forward step by step and see where it stands at any moment, so the state of every authorization lives in the case rather than in your head or on a whiteboard.

In development

Source-cited appeal drafting

When a request is denied, Lumina drafts the appeal from records already on file and shows the doctor the source behind every claim before they approve it. The doctor reviews and approves. Lumina never sends anything on its own.

On the roadmap

Treatment courses and response

A record of what was given, when, and what happened next, so response to treatment can be read rather than reconstructed from memory.

On the roadmap

Beyond PANS and PANDAS

Support for mast-cell activation, autoimmune encephalitis, and other complex immune-mediated presentations, each one reviewed by a doctor before it is used.

Concept — not yet built

A view of your practice’s own numbers, over time

We are exploring a practice-level view: workups started, items recorded each week, prior-authorization status and turnaround, so a practice can see its own numbers over time, not just one case at a time. This is an early concept: nothing here is built yet, and the chart shown is illustrative, not real data.

Privacy and security

Nothing here happens to a family. It happens with them.

  • Access is granted, not assumed.

Families see who has access to their child's information and can revoke it themselves, without asking anyone's permission.

  • Every look is on the record.

Access is written to a log the practice's privacy officer can review and export. Entries are added, never edited or removed.

  • Stronger sign-in where it matters.

Two-factor sign-in for privileged accounts in the practice.

  • A human approves everything.

Lumina drafts, organises, and proposes. It does not decide, and it does not act for a doctor. One control pauses it on a case entirely, and nothing more is drafted or changed until you turn it back on.

Built for HIPAA from the first line. Consent, an exportable access log, and family-controlled access are part of the architecture, not a layer added later. Alpha is an evaluation environment, and these protections are exercised there before the product opens more widely.
